دشن اليوم، العمل في مشروع خزان مياه مأرب الاستراتيجي بسعة 2000 متر مكعب، البالغ كلفته الإنشائية الإجمالية 708 آلاف دولار بتمويل منظمة مسلم هاندز.
ويتضمن المشروع الذي سيخدم نحو 1.1 مليون شخص من النازحين والمجتمع المضيف، خزان خرساني أرضي، ووحدة ضخ إضافية بقوة رفع للمياه 200 متر رأسي وقدرة إنتاجية تبلغ 200 مترا مكعبا في الساعة، مع بناء غرفة لوحدة الضخ بمساحة 20 مترا مربعا، إلى جانب رصف حجر لطريق مشروع الخزان بطول 82 مترا وعرض 6 أمتار لتسهيل الوصول إليه.
وسيسهم هذا المشروع في توسيع شبكات المياه النقية التابعة للمؤسسة العامة للمياه والصرف الصحي في محافظة مارب، ويأتي ضمن مشاريع منظمة مسلم هاندز في المحافظة التي تضم أكثر من 62% من النازحين في اليمن وأكثر من 3 ملايين شخص من السكان في ظل الأزمة الانسانية التي تزداد سوءا.
