وقال رئيس الوزراء البريطانى – فى تصريحات نقلتها قناة “سكاى نيوز” البريطانية في نشرتها الناطقة بالإنجليزية اليوم الخميس – إن الحل القائم على دولتين يعد النتيجة الصحيحة للحرب الدائرة بين إسرائيل وحركة حماس .
وأضاف سوناك أن “موقفنا الدائم يوضح أن حل الدولتين هو النتيجة الصحيحة.. على المدى القصير، ما يحدث في الحرب يعد أمرا مثيرا للقلق.. لقد فقد الكثير من الأبرياء حياتهم.. لا أحد يرغب في أن يستمر هذا الحرب للحظة أطول من اللازم”.
