وأكد البنك أن معالجة انعدام الأمن الغذائي تتطلب معالجة استجابة متعددة القطاعات، بما في ذلك خلق وظائف مؤقتة، ودعم خطة التحويلات النقدية الوطنية في اليمن، وتحسين صحة النساء والأطفال، وضمان ذلك حصول الناس على مياه الشرب المأمونة.
وارتفع عدد اليمنيين الذين يعانون الجوع من 10 ملايين و 600 ألف إلى 17 مليوناً منذ بدء الحرب في عام 2014.
